Trying To Explain Things Both Ways

The battle came into a close and the REDs won once again. Everybody cheered for a job well done, while the BLUs scowled in disapproval. But there were only two mercenaries that couldn't even feel anything. You and the BLU Scout.

You kept thinking to yourself what the hell just happened. The briefcase, the Spy, the BLU Scout helping you and Scout, today was just a different day for you. While you thought about that, the BLU Scout was leaning against the wall in thought. Why did he do that? Was it for you? He's gonna get his head in a platter from Spy. Do you maybe... have feelings for him too?

'Her liking me? Nah, she's already got dat other wimp. But still.... I can't get 'er outta my head. She's so beautiful. Why did she have to be on the RED Team?' He sighed and got up from his position to the BLU base's living room. He is going to have one hell of a lecture.

You sighed in irritation and stretched your body out, tired from the battle. You couldn't help but blush though, thinking about what just happened before. You shook your head and got up, heading to the showers to get the ickyness from the sewers out.

-Time Skip-

You got out, feeling as fresh as ever. "Thank God for showers." You giggled and headed to the living room. Once you got there, Scout was sitting on the couch with a passed out Demoman on the floor. Scout saw you and greeted you with a smirk. "'Ey toots." You blushed and waved back at him. "Hey Scout..." You walked up to him, careful not to step on the passed out Demo and sit next to him.

After a few minutes passed, Scout sat up and made a serious face. You looked up at him in curiosity. "What's up Scout?" Scout turned to you and looked at you dead in the eyes. "[Y/N], when I got outta da intelligence room, w-what did you and dat BLU Scout do?" He asked you in a serious tone.

Your eyes widened a bit and you looked away from him with a tiny blush appearing. Scout saw this and held your shoulders to look at him. "[Y/N], what happened?" He asked once more. You tried to say something but the words wouldn't come out. "I-I just... well... what I meant to say was... u-um...." You stuttered out. Scout sighed and let go of you, sitting back down with an arm wrapped around you. "Hey, it's alright. You can tell me wheneva you feel like it alright?" He told you reassuringly with a grin. You blushed a bit deeper and nodded, leaning a little into his embrace.

"Okay..." 'Which will never happen...' You thought. You just stayed put in Scout's warm embrace, wondering what the BLU Scout is doing right about now.

-At BLU Base-

"What were you thinking?! Why in the hell would you do that to a team mate?!" The BLU Spy asked the Scout harshly. Scout flinched at his tone and he could feel his heart race within each second. He breathed shakily, wanting to explain why but he couldn't. He knew the Administrator was watching and he couldn't find a way to tell the truth. He could possibly get fired for it.

Scout sighed and just stayed put, not saying a word. Spy sighed in irritation, he looked up at the corner camera, knowing she was watching. Spy walked close to Scout and whispered in his ear. "Tell me later, if there is a big secret you want to keep in from her, you don't have to say it. Meet me in my room at 11." He got back up and walked out of the room with a grunt.

Scout stayed put, paralyzed at what happened. He almost felt like crying since a tear was forming a little bit. He wiped his face and got up from his seat. He looked back at the room, inspecting it. "I'm sorry if dis'll get to you, [Y/N]." He whispered and walked out without another word.
